Screencast VR for submission
Hi, I need to make a video of my Sumerian VR app for submission. Any recommendation for screencasting VR with an Oculus Rift? My app only works in VR, and I am not familiar with making a video out of this. Could also be done in Oculus Go

Hey Jochen!
Your Sumerian builds are also visible in a browser even thought it may be optimized more for a headset and so you can screencast and record that. You'll get a URL to the scene when you publish it that looks like this https://ap-southeast-1.sumerian.aws/abcdefg123.scene
I also read that you can cast Oculus Go to a screen, now like you mentioned: https://www.oculus.com/blog/october-platform-updates-casting-comes-to-oculus-go-avatar-updates-and-more/
And here's an article I found where someone figured out a few ways to cast other VR devices to a screen that might give you some ideas: https://www.howtogeek.com/290179/how-to-cast-your-smartphones-vr-experience-to-your-tv/
Hope these are helpful!

Thanks Stefanie! I made some test screencasts with Oculus Rift on Firefox/Win10. Could only capture one VR eye sight for video. But this will do it when adapting the VR performance accordingly. I know about the Oculus Go options for screencasting, but it seems to be more experimental. I will look into that later if I still have the time. Thanks again for your quick info!
